GB Energy Supply Ceases Trading, Leaving Customers With Questions

Ofgem Appoints Co-operative Energy as New Supplier

GB Energy, a small independent UK energy provider, has ceased trading, leaving its customers with questions about their new supplier. Ofgem, the energy regulator, has appointed Co-operative Energy as the new supplier for GB Energy's customers.

GB Energy was launched in late 2014 and began taking on customers from January 2015. Its aim was to bring a fresh approach to the energy market, offering competitive prices and excellent customer service. However, the company has been struggling financially in recent months, and it is understood that it has been unable to secure the funding it needs to continue trading.

Ofgem has said that it is working to ensure that GB Energy's customers are transferred to Co-operative Energy as smoothly as possible. Co-operative Energy is a large, well-established energy supplier with a good track record of customer service. It is expected that GB Energy's customers will be able to switch to Co-operative Energy without any disruption to their supply.

Customers of GB Energy are advised to contact Co-operative Energy as soon as possible to confirm their new account details. They can do this by calling Co-operative Energy's customer service line on 0800 051 4618 or visiting the Co-operative Energy website.
